Kickoff call with your account strategist
Meet the person who will be your biggest advocate throughout the entire process — and potentially your new best friend. Your account strategist will explain the Influence & Co process and talk with you about your business goals, potential article topics, target publications that fit your business niche, and overall strategy.
Influence & Co Creates Your Strategy Road Map
We combine all our forces to create a strategy that will help meet your business objectives. Your account strategist will collaborate with our Content Creation and Publication Outreach teams to lay the groundwork for your content marketing strategy. Then, your account strategist will discuss the strategy road map with you and answer any questions you may have.
Your First Opportunity
Your account strategist will send you an email with your first article topic and target publication. He or she can explain the strategy behind the choice of publication and why our team believes it is a good fit for building your personal brand.
You Answer Our Questions
Within the email, you will find four questions to help us extract your personal brand of expertise. We ask that you take just around 20 minutes to answer the questions in a stream of consciousness form without worrying about grammar or composition.
This is just an exercise that allows us to capture your unique voice and expert insights, and your answers to these questions will form the backbone of your article. Any personal stories, industry examples, or experiences you can include will help make your article stronger and distinguish it as writing that is uniquely yours.
We Craft Your Article
Influence & Co pairs you with a writer who will stay with you throughout your time at Influence & Co. A writer is selected for you based on tone, writing style, and area of expertise. That writer’s job is to master your unique voice and use your answers to put together a full-length article that maintains your personality and expertise. The longer you work with us, the more proficient your writer will become at writing on your topic with your voice.
Article is Edited and Presented to You
After your article is professionally edited, your account strategist will send it to you via email for any revisions you may have. Usually by your second or third article with us, your writer is so adept at developing articles that ring true to your voice that this step goes very quickly — often just with one quick read by you to give us the green light for publication. Most importantly, we never, ever send an article to a publisher without your final approval.
We Send Your Article Out into the World
Our Publication Team sends your article to the editor at the target publication. Your account strategist will take care of any communication or feedback from the publication and keep you informed about important developments, such as your publication date.
Your Article is Published!
Your account strategist will send you the URL to view your published article when it goes live and offer advice on how you can maximize the exposure of each article.
Rinse and Repeat
We follow the same process for however many articles you have allocated per month, selecting a blend of target publications and article topics to work toward your business goals.
We Report Back to You
At the end of each month, your account strategist will send you an analytics report about your articles detailing social media shares, comments, and publication highlights. This lets you see the value Influence & Co is bringing your personal brand. Our success depends on your success.
